Songs for Our Wedding :)

Colton has been working hard on choosing songs to play at our wedding. We don't plan on having a dance floor or anything crazy like that, we are just planning on having music playing the whole time. 

However, we are planning to have our first dance, daddy-daughter dance, and mother-son dance; I think those are important.

Since my dad died 10 years ago (time flies) I will be dancing with my brother to "Everything I Own" by Bread.

Colton and I's song is a secret, so I can't disclose that.

Wedding 107.

Wedding Dress Drama.

I got really lucky when I went to look for my wedding dress.

In the same day, second store, and 2 hours of shopping I found it :)

It's beautiful..

(I would post a picture of it... but I am going to make you wait! :P)

It was affordable, I paid for half, my brother paid the other half..

He's just awesome like that.

Welp,  I ordered it in the beginning of February.

It just BARELY got here this week and they couldn't get me scheduled for a fitting for 2 weeks!

We are doing part of my bridals in ONE month!

They wanted me to give them 200 dollars for alterations plus rushes on it!

...and it still wouldn't guarantee that I would have it by May 28th.

I was so upset and just bawling about it yesterday...

But thanks to my awesome soon-to-be-sister-in-law she found someone to alter it for me and for a better price... HER sister-in-law is a seamstress and she made her OWN wedding dress, cool, huh? So she said she would do it, and she is meeting with me on SATURDAY. It'll cost me a lot less than 200 dollars :)

Sooo this is my plan on Saturday: 

10:20-1:20  Plasma Donation.

1:20-2:10 Drive to Salt Lake.

2:10-3:00 Get my dress.

3:00-4:00 Drive to Ogden.

4:00-5:00 Meet with Stephanie to measure me and my dress.

5:00-5:30 Thank Carrie (my sister-in-law) a bajillion times.

Busy day (and a lot of gas), but so worth it!

doing some cleaning for my soon-to-be-mother-in-law.

(have I mentioned I LOVE my inlaws?)

I have my wedding dress pick-up time scheduled.

I have my alterations for my dress scheduled.

(I'm having my soon-to-be-sister-in-law's sister-in-law hem it)

...did ya follow that?

I have my schedule for my second job all ready...

(I start on May 9th)

I am still way stressed about all the things I need to get done,

I just have to remember to take it one at a time...

Right?

Day 08.

Short term goals for this month and why.

• Schedule my fitting for my dress - I need it in ONE month.

• Fix my Camera - It's hard to take pictures without one.

Monday Blues.

This is the FIRST Monday I have that I don't have to worry about school or work..
It's weird.
I don't know if I like it.
I went to the doctor.
I have two loads of laundry done.
and there aren't many dishes to be washed.
and it's only 10:30.
Plus, no one is home.
I don't know what to do with myself.
I am so used to running from one place to another.
I need to get creative...

Any ideas?

Wedding 106.

So we have been working really hard on my wedding bouquets.

They have been so much work.

We FINALLY got all the flowers done...

now we just need to get the bouquets put together...

We did the first trial assembly today.. I don't like all of it, yet.

I am going to make some changes:

I am going to take out all the pearls sticking up and the leaves seem too big.

Electronics get me AGAIN.

I hate electronics.

I have the worst luck with them.

I have a OLD samsung flip phone, 

because it can handle being thrown around.

I do not have an Ipod, 

because I don't get how to work them.

and my computer just died.

Okay, it might just be my cord, but I still don't have a computer.

So if I don't blog for a bit, ya know why :)

Stupid thing.

I hate electronics.

Berries and Shaving.

Last night I was taking a shower.
I sent a text to Colton (he was in the other room)
and asked if he could bring my NEW shaver and cream.


He walks in and says "these smell like berries!"
Buahahahahaha

I didn't even notice they had scents in shavers...

My question now is WHY?? 

Why do shavers need to smell good?!

Colton and I made fun of them for like 5 minutes last night.

But they work great :)

Funny, Huh?

After today, we will be in the double-digits.

Favorite super hero and why.

I try really hard not to idolize people that aren't real and people who don't care about ME.. I might be selfish like that, but it's the truth. So my heroes are MY super heroes, but people might not see them that way.


My biggest hero? 

MY DAD.

This was taken FOREVER ago.

He seriously was the greatest man in my life.
(I was Daddy's Little Girl.. for sure)
He fought Pancreatic Cancer for 4 years,
even though he was only given 6 months to live!
He was a fighter.
He died when I was 11 years old.
I really wish Colton could have met him.
I think my dad would have liked him :)


Colton and I are having a special table at our wedding dedicated to my dad 
with a BEAUTIFUL vase and flowers with a cute saying on it :)

Plasma?

Colton donates plasma so we have extra money.

Now I am going to donate plasma so we can have more extra money.

That's how I feel right now.

My goal every monday is to finish ALL the laundry before Colton gets home, so we can have the rest of the night to just be together. Sometimes I make the goal, sometimes I don't.. Today we have lots of laundry because I decided to wash the sheets, pillowcases, and rugs... Now I feel like it will never end, just like the never ending song.

Day 05.

A picture of somewhere you’ve been to.

The Bonneville Salt Flats.

In September on 2010 Colton went down with his race team (Blackline Racing) to the Salt Flats. This was the first trip Colton and I went on together. Since I had work and School, I met him and his family down there. This trip was a lot of fun; I got to meet a lot of their race friends, hang out with his family, meet his grandparents, and watch Colton, Justin, their Dad, and Mom race down the Salt Flats. This is a trip that we are going to be taking EVERY year. I am excited for this tradition. I think EVERYONE should go down to the Salt Flats, it's really an amazing place of nothingness, just flat land that goes on and on and on and on...

3 Boys. and a Girl.

I live in this amazzzzing home.
I live with 3 boys.
and then it's me.
Imagine all the "manly" stuff they do..


We watch a lot of man-movies.
(which I HATE most of them... but some have turned out alright.)
We eat a lot of junk food.
I hear about cars everyday.
Our house has no decorations or color
(except for our Christmas Tree that is still up)
We have a lot of jokes.
AND we play lots of video games.


Last night Colton and I got home from my little brother's little 
birthday party that my mom threw 
(he is now 19, I can't believe it.)
Colton's brother bought a NEW video game for the wii.
We have been playing Mario and Zelda on the Nintendo 
(yeah we are old school like that)
and we have been playing Mario Brothers on Wii and Mario Carts.
But this new game is awesome, we race cars and buy cars.
I rock at this game :)
Might I mention, we were up until 2 AM playing this game. 
This is a typical night, 
no matter if it's a week day or the weekend.
We have wayyy too much fun.


I love it :)

Day 04.

A habit that you wish you didn’t have.

I am a big time procrastinator.

 I'd really like to stop this habit. 

Because, well it stresses me out. 

And if you ask anyone, I am a stress case- ask Colton. 

Thank goodness he still loves me :D

I'll stop Procastinating... Maybe tomorrow.

I love these two so much and for many different reasons.

Wedding 103.

This marriage is meant to be. I KNOW it.
Everything for the wedding has gone smoothly.
Even though we have a $2,000 budget
(If you know anything about weddings, they cost a whole lot more than that)
we have gotten everything that we want :)
Crazy, right?


One of the most important things for the wedding is having great photography and photography that captures the day and the emotions and someone who I can trust and someone I know... Most people wonder how you can get all that for less than $2,000, well guess what.. I know how ;)


We have an amazing photographer who I have known for years.
She is so adorable and takes amazing photos.. she is truly an artist.
(P.S. She is only 14.. that is crazy too, huh?)
She has learned everything from her mom, 
who is also an amazing photographer.


Now here is the best part. 
She knows how to read minds.
She wants to go to a place for the engagements.
and this place is special to Colton. and of course me too.
(Which I am not going to share with you until later)
She didn't even know this part about us.
So. We know that she is the perfect photographer.

My favorite part of the day is 2:00PM.

I get to see Colton!

I usually make him lunch and drive to his work

 and we get to spend ONE hour with eachother.

This is so nice because he goes to school right after work and...

 doesn't get home until wayy late.

Sugar Coatings.

My goal for this blog is to not sugar coat my life and make my life sound perfect, because frankly, my life is not perfect. And to be honest, no one's life is perfect.
So if you want to hear about a perfect life, this is not the place to be.


Right now however, things are going GREAT. Life is full of excitement, surprises, and craziness. I love it. Don't you? 


I have been thinking about getting another part-time job to help save on money... just thinking, not doing anything about it because I was planning on getting one after fall semester was over (School and two jobs would just make me go insane). Wellllll apparently the universe (as my sister would call it) knew what I needed and life presented me with an opportunity. My mom knew a lady who needed someone to watch her kids, take them to school, pick them up from school, and all that fun stuff... I met with her today, and I am so excited. I have a part-time job :D AND I wasn't even looking for one!


I Love Life.

Happy Mondays.

I actually really LOVE mondays.

Probably because it's like another day of the weekend.

I love it because while Colton is at work I am able to: 

clean the room, 

do the laundry, 

do the dishes, 

do my homework,

watch a movie, 

and get ready... 

But then I have to go to a THREE hour class at night.. but that is okay because when I get home, all I have to do is spend time with my Colton :D

So here is to another monday!

Wedding 102.

Yesterday, Colton and I registered for the wedding :)

I am super excited for all the stuff that we registered for, 

I just wish we could get all the stuff NOW. 

Wanna know some of the stuff we registered for?? 

Too bad, I am going to show you any way :)

An Easy Bake Oven.. I had one as a kid and now I NEED one as an  adult, because I will be cooking a lot.. Right?

A Kitchen Aid Mixer.. RED of course.

We got some camping supplies, like a tent, coolers, and such. BUT my favorite was a TWO person Sleeping Bag, we will be able to stay warm ALL night :)

And of course we couldn't forget the His and Hers KY ;)
Wellllll we only put this kind of stuff on the registry to make the grandparents a little squeamish.
(I never said we were nice)
