Weekend: Engagement Pictures Edition

Colton and I had  GREAT weekend.

We got to spend ALL of it together.

Friday night:

We spent time with his family plus extended family.

His cousin graduated from massage school so his family was here from Colorado.

We got ready for engagement pictures (that was stressful).

Saturday:

We got ready for engagement and bridal pictures.

Picked up our photographer, Wren.

Left for WENDOVER.

We took some really cool photos, 

I still haven't seen them all but I have seen a few. 

I am completely happy  and in LOVE with them!

It was a lonnnng day though,  I was exhausted and crashed at Colton's parents house and we ended up just sleeping there! 

Sunday:

We didn't really do ANYTHING.

We slept, a lot. We watched I Am Legend.

We had a barbecue at Colton's Parents house.

and played games with his family.

Monday (Memorial Day):

We LOVE memorial day, for various reasons!

We designed our invitations, Thanks Carrie!

They are going to look great..

Wanna know what they look like? Too bad, you have to wait.

We also had a barbecue and Carrie's house, it was Yummy.

We also went to 10 stores to look for a present for Justin's Birthday.. 

TEN STORES, we must like him or something.

I cannot believe that Colton and I have been 

together for ONE year already!

Time really flies when you are having fun ;)

I have no idea what we are doing today,

Probably nothing.

Dear Friend,

I love you so much. You are my best friend. I am so glad you have opened up to me in the past few weeks. I want you to know that I care about you.. but you already know that. I would do ANYTHING for you.. but you know that already too. I understand what is going on with you, more than you realize. I am a good friend. I know this. Why? I have been through a lot of things. I have gone through many things with family members and friends; this is what explains my ability to not be judgmental and to be so caring and understanding. Some People's Kids...

Today, Colton and I went to the the mall during lunch.

(to pick up his ring)

I have now come to the conclusion that no one works.

The mall was so busy..

with 20-40 year olds...

My guess? Everyone called into work sick today to take an early weekend.

So, people skip work, which makes them lose money, to spend money?

No wonder why everyone is filing for bankruptcy, they are spending money they don't have.

Stupid. Right?
Just had to vent about it.

Day 13.

A letter to someone who has hurt you recently.

Sorry Friends, quite frankly, 

I don't have a letter to write to anyone. 

Those who have hurt me in the past  

have been forgiven and the offense has been forgotten; 

I am a strong believer in "forgive and forget". 

and also, I am one to not take offense to things 

 (unless it's something major).

Everyone seemed to be doing this..

So I decided to follow the crowd.

A. Age: 42 :) combined that is...

B. Bed size: We have a queen!

C. Chore you hate: Cleaning out the car... We have a serious problem with letting our cars look like a tornado went through them.

D. Dogs: No thanks :)

E. Essential start to your day:  Colton has his wake-up shower, gets ready, we kiss good-bye and he goes to work, and I sleep until 9 :) I like that routine!

F. Favorite color:  Red.

G. Gold or silver:  Silver... without a doubt.

H. Height: I'm 5'2" and Colton is 5'10"

I. Instruments: None for Colton.. he's not musically talented like me ;)

J. Job title: I am a Dance and Piano Teacher! and Colton is a service writer and parts manager for a Volkswagen Shop.

K. Kids: None as of now, but we'll have some in the future, for sure!

L. Live: Clearfield! But hopefully only for a few more months and then we can say MICHIGAN.

M. Mom’s name: Rhonda, yes as in the song: Help me Rhonda! and My future Mother-in-Law's name is Maylene.

N. Nicknames:  We don't really have nicknames.. Chloe sometimes calls me Tarynasaurusrex, or Taryn-it-up. But yeah, that's all. ha ha.

 
O. Overnight hospital stays: We are AWESOME.. we have NEVER had to stay in a hospital overnight.. Knock on wood.

P. Pet peeve: People with pet peeves.

R. Right or left handed:  Righties!

S. Siblings: I have 3 half sisters, 2 half brothers, and a brother. Colton has 1 brother and 1 sister.

T. Time you wake up: I wake up around 9. Colton wakes up at 7.

U. Underwear:  The normal kind :)

V. Vegetables you dislike:  Brussel Sprouts, Peas, and Cauliflower.

W. What makes you run late:  Colton is unlucky and seems to have lots of problems as we are heading out the door i.e. last Sunday, we were getting ready for church and Colton cut his lip shaving. Don't tell him but I think he did it on purpose to try and get out of it ha ha ha. Nice try!

X. X-Rays you’ve had:  Like every part of our bodies, however, we are lucky we have never actually broken a bone :)

Z. Zoo- favorite animal:  Colton: "anything but snakes." Taryn: "Nothing except snakes." Jk. I like all the cuddly animals :)

How you found out about Blogger and why you made one.

I've known about Blogger for quite awhile,

So I can't pinpoint who I learned about it from.

However, I got interested in Blogger because my 

friend Chloe is a big time blogger.

I am moooving. Probably farrr away.

Day 11.

Unfortunately, I can't post a picture of my friends, because all my pictures are on my computer, which if you remember is currently down :(

Wedding 108 (This is NOT my Dress).

Wedding Dress Fiasco

So I went and picked up my dress yesterday.

As you probably can tell and guess I was really excited, and I was..

WAS, being the keyword there.

When I got there they went to look for my dress out.

She comes out, kind of panicked because she couldn't find it!

Then she realized we didn't get it altered so it was in a different spot!

She found it.

She takes me to the back and unzips the bag.

The FIRST thing that came out of my mouth was: "This is not my dress."

I repeated that phrase like 5 times.

They got the WRONG dress, how could they do that to me?!?!

Well... don't worry too much longer.

They part that was completely wrong was the belt around it..

It was hideous.

Luckily, they had an extra one in stock, so phew!

So I was still worried that I didn't like this dress..

But I tried it on, it fit perfectly. and it's still beautiful.

So, I got MY dress, and I love it! 

I can't wait to show everyone :)
