To Do List:: Wedding Edition

There are so many things that go into a wedding! Especially when you don't have a wedding planner to do it all for you, or a venue that has everything you need! We have been really good at getting everything done ahead of time :) I have been so worried that I won't get the little things that I want done or I will just completely forget about them, and realize it on our wedding day (Which is in 8 days).

Even though we have gotten a lot done, I still feel like there are a bajillion other things that we need to do! So here is a list, and if you have any other things you think I could have forgotten don't be afraid to tell!

- Get all the tables from the 10 people we are borrowing from

- Get all 100 chairs from my AWESOME work

- Clean my dress

- Clean Colton's Suit

- Get all the Bridesmaids their shoes and necklaces

- Buy all the food

- Get the music ready

-Make a step for the stage (So we can get on the stage)

- Get games all together (yeah, be jealous, we are having board games and playing them that day!)

- Get eyebrows plucked

- Dye my hair

- Get my hair cut

- Get Colton's hair cut

- Get my nails done

- Get Colton's Presents and surprises ready

- Put lettering on all the jars and vases

- Lay out on paper the order of everything

- Ask people to do toasts

- Talk to the Bishop and give him papers

- Pack bags for our night at Ben Lomond Hotel

- Find the camera and make sure it is charged

- Get everyone's Lagoon Pass Discount tickets

- Make sure we have a working sound system

- Practice dancing... uhhh just got super nervous about this one!

- Put all decorations in boxes and label all of them

Oh wow... I think I can keep going on and on and on. But I think I should get working on this list instead of blog about it! Unfortunately, some things on this list can't get done until next week, the day before, or the day of!

TMI.

I am definitely about to say something that might be too much information for y'all...

So in the efforts of looking great and feeling great on my wedding, 

I have been going to the dermatologist.

Which is something most people do. 

In the past 2 years I have been getting warts.

I had them on my left hand, 

which I was always super self-conscious about..

I hated holding hands with that hand, 

I hated showing my hands, 

I didn't like to wear jewelry on that hand... 

Well I had TWO treatments and it didn't work :(

The warts would not go away... they got smaller.. they didn't hurt anymore, but they were still there.

However, one morning I woke up and they were GONE. No warts. Anywhere. Yeah, big relief.

So now, I won't be so self-conscious when I show off my beautiful ring!

Nervous? Not Really.

I have had a lot of people ask me this ONE question:

Are you nervous to be married??

My answer: Wellll... No. Not at all.

Am I supposed to feel nervous? Am I supposed to be questioning myself? or Colton? Am I supposed to be worried? Am I supposed to question if I am marrying the right guy?....

Cause to be honest. I am not questioning anything.

(And Why should I?)

Colton and I are getting married. I wouldn't have said yes if I wasn't sure that we should be married. I have known that I loved Colton and that I would marry him when we first became a couple. We both knew it. Colton and I are perfect for each other. We seriously (I know this is Cliche) complete each other. My weakness' are his strengths and my strengths are his weakness'.  I am going to be a Mrs. soon and I can't wait. I can't wait to take Colton's last name. I can't wait to start our lives together. I can't wait for all of our adventures in life. I can't wait to see where we go. I just can't wait! Just 2 weeks and 2 days.

So, in conclusion, I am not nervous. I am not worried. I am not questioning anything. 

I'm Excited. I'm in Love. I'm Happy.

It's Funny 'Cause...

That is what Will says before EVERYTHING.

It makes me laugh every time.

Here are some things he said today that I thought were funny:

"When grandmas are old they get wrinkly"

(Somehow this came up in conversation as we were eating marshmallows)

"It makes your face whiter." *rubbing marshmallow over face*

"I make a lot of trouble, huh?"

"ALL food is good for  you in the morning, except Pizza"

(IDK where he got that from.)

Me: Does it hurt?
Will: No, I just don't like the way it feels.

(I, yes I, pulled out Will's front tooth today! it was awesome, he didn't cry or scream, or anything. I have been trying to pull it out for a week... every time he would let me try, he would just let me, no fighting or anything, but. We FINALLY got it out.)

What a Goofball.

...That is what I have been saying a lot this past week.

Will said some pretty funny things this week, here are a few that I remembered!

(Will has been really into teeth lately, he is about to lose one!)

Will: "When I was a baby, I had two teeth that looked like alligator teeth."

Will: We have these plants that when a butterfly lands on it, it traps it. But a few hours later it let's it go. It has to suck the pollen out.

(I think he has a few facts mixed up into one)

Will: "It was funny. On the highway the other day, I saw a kid not wearing his seatbelt. and he was sticking his head out the window and he was slobbering."

Me: "Wouldn't that be a dog?"

Will. "Nope. It was a human."

Will: "I had a snail for 20 years. and a ladybug for 1 year."

(P.S. He is 6)

Will: "I sang really loud to a plant at school and it grew 4 inches!"

Will: "So my dad sent me a present. This shirt!" *points to his new shirt*

Me: Why?

Will: "Because I am losing my tooth."

Me: ?

Will: "Yeah, it's cause it's my first top one."

(I never got new clothes for almost losing a tooth... MMMMOM!)

His sister was saying something while he was trying to talk so he told her this:

Will: "Zip it. Lock it. Put it in your pocket. and lock it."

He is a riot!

Best Honeymoon Ever.

Okay, maybe not for everyone, but for us, it's going to be GREAT!

Instead of us spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars for a honeymoon,

we decided to save that money, and do something cooler!

Ya know, it can go towards a home, or like rent, or savings.

Whatever.

We are actually really lucky, because I don't have to work at all the first week in August, and Colton is getting paid time off! We have awesome jobs!

But of course we HAVE to do something fun!

Yeah?

So hear this!

Instead of a vacation we are going to do this:

July30: Get Married and stay in a hotel :)

July 31: Go to Lagoon

August 1: Go to the Zoo and go through presents

August 2: Go to the Aquarium and the Tracy Aviary

August 3: Park City - Shopping and Alpine Slides

August 4: Swimming, somewhere fun!

August 5: Bowling and Drive-in movie

August 6: Go on a Hike and to a Fancy-Schmancy dinner

August 7: Go fishing.

Funnies.

I watched Will this weekend.

He seriously is hilarious. Here are some of our conversations:

(Talking about his "really nice" neighbor)

Will: She goes to church. So she hands out treats a lot.

Me: Sooo.. if you go to church you hand out lots of treats?

Will: Well.. she does *shrugs*

(We were playing on the swing set, he was swinging on the chains, not on the swing chair)

Will: It's kind of hurting my crotch!

(Trying to convince Will to let us go get icecream)

Me: Will, let's go get icecream at Artic Circle

Will: I just want my icecream in the freezer. 

Me: Really?? You don't want to go get icecream somewhere.

Will: No.

10 seconds later..

Will: How long should I put my icecream in the microwave?

Me: 10 seconds.

5 Seconds later...

Will: Woah, I almost blew up the microwave, the spoon started to spark!

Me: WILL! You aren't supposed to microwave spoons!

Will: I didn't know that!

Me: How about we get icecream at Artic Circle? 

 

HAHAHA.. I got what I wanted :D

These probably aren't that funny, they probably have to be "be-there" kind of instances. But writing these out again (cause I wrote them down) just made me laugh.. so at least ONE person got a chuckle out of it.

Bridals/Groomals.

So. I was just going to wait to post these pics until AFTER the wedding...

But I just CAN'T.

I have a second job.

I've been doing it for about 5 weeks now.

I love it.

I watch 3 kids.

Isabelle (12), Caroline (10), and Will (6)

They are hilarious, probably the funniest kids ever.

Especially Will.

So I am going to start posting funny things they say or do,

because the things they do just make me laugh!
And I think we all need a little more laughter in our lives! 


1 week ago:
Will was still in school last week, so I had to pick him up before I left for work, I go into his class room and all the kindergarteners were whispering saying "Look, that is Will's mom." "She is pretty." "Will is so lucky." it was adorable. When we left the classroom I asked him if he realized all the kids think I am his mom and they think I am pretty, he just shrugged.


Today:
Will made up several songs, completely random. I am going to start writing them down and posting them on here when I hear him singing, cause seriously, they are HILARIOUS. I just need to remember notebooks when I go over there so I remembe EVERYTHING they do. haha.

Colton and I have 300 invites to send out for the wedding!
300 is quite a lot. and it's quite a lot of addressing.
I've spent HOURS on my list of people and their addresses.
Colton, zero.
Which I don't blame him because it is tedious.
Annyywwayy I have been working hard to get the addresses together so we can send our invites ASAP.
I have to send emails, make phone calls, text, call people to call people to call people, you probably know how it is, just to get a stupid mailing address.
Sending electronic invites seems so good right now! haha.
But I will NEVER have to do this again, because this "book" that I am making will never be thrown away.. so I will always have people's address' and I will never have to do the tedious work of getting 300 address' :D


Yeah, No Fun.
I now have respect for all the people who have done this!

Whoops.

So hear this...

On Sunday Colton and I were in my car, getting on the freeway...

then all of a sudden my car makes the "bump bump bump" sound...

The sound of a FLAT tire!

We pull off onto the next exit, get out, and nope, no flat tire..

Colton continues looking at the tires.

and this is what he found IN my tire....

Why yes, that is a BOLT. ha.

Crazy thing is, the tire is still not flat.

However, I have not been driving it.

Colton and I have been taking turns driving his dad's HUGE white truck

and Colton's black Jetta..

I need a bunch of stuff done to my car so we can get new tires that will actually last.

So we are just waiting to get some more $$$.

Unfortunately, my money tree died.

Weekend: Engagement Pictures Edition

Colton and I had  GREAT weekend.

We got to spend ALL of it together.

Friday night:

We spent time with his family plus extended family.

His cousin graduated from massage school so his family was here from Colorado.

We got ready for engagement pictures (that was stressful).

Saturday:

We got ready for engagement and bridal pictures.

Picked up our photographer, Wren.

Left for WENDOVER.

We took some really cool photos, 

I still haven't seen them all but I have seen a few. 

I am completely happy  and in LOVE with them!

It was a lonnnng day though,  I was exhausted and crashed at Colton's parents house and we ended up just sleeping there! 

Sunday:

We didn't really do ANYTHING.

We slept, a lot. We watched I Am Legend.

We had a barbecue at Colton's Parents house.

and played games with his family.

Monday (Memorial Day):

We LOVE memorial day, for various reasons!

We designed our invitations, Thanks Carrie!

They are going to look great..

Wanna know what they look like? Too bad, you have to wait.

We also had a barbecue and Carrie's house, it was Yummy.

We also went to 10 stores to look for a present for Justin's Birthday..

I love you so much. You are my best friend. I am so glad you have opened up to me in the past few weeks. I want you to know that I care about you.. but you already know that. Some People's Kids...

Today, Colton and I went to the the mall during lunch.

(to pick up his ring)

I have now come to the conclusion that no one works.

The mall was so busy..

with 20-40 year olds...

My guess? Everyone called into work sick today to take an early weekend.

So, people skip work, which makes them lose money, to spend money?

No wonder why everyone is filing for bankruptcy, they are spending money they don't have.

Stupid. Right?
Just had to vent about it.

Day 13.

A letter to someone who has hurt you recently.

Sorry Friends, quite frankly, 

I don't have a letter to write to anyone. 

Those who have hurt me in the past  

have been forgiven and the offense has been forgotten; 

I am a strong believer in "forgive and forget".

C. Chore you hate: Cleaning out the car... We have a serious problem with letting our cars look like a tornado went through them.

E. Essential start to your day:  Colton has his wake-up shower, gets ready, we kiss good-bye and he goes to work, and I sleep until 9 :) I like that routine!

G. Gold or silver:  Silver... without a doubt.

H. Height: I'm 5'2" and Colton is 5'10"

I. Instruments: None for Colton.. he's not musically talented like me ;)

J. Job title: I am a Dance and Piano Teacher! and Colton is a service writer and parts manager for a Volkswagen Shop.

K. Kids: None as of now, but we'll have some in the future, for sure!

L. Live: Clearfield! But hopefully only for a few more months and then we can say MICHIGAN.

M. Mom’s name: Rhonda, yes as in the song: Help me Rhonda! and My future Mother-in-Law's name is Maylene.

N. Nicknames:  We don't really have nicknames.. Chloe sometimes calls me Tarynasaurusrex, or Taryn-it-up. But yeah, that's all. ha ha.

 
O. Overnight hospital stays: We are AWESOME.. we have NEVER had to stay in a hospital overnight.. Knock on wood.

P. Pet peeve: People with pet peeves.

S. Siblings: I have 3 half sisters, 2 half brothers, and a brother. Colton has 1 brother and 1 sister.

V. Vegetables you dislike:  Brussel Sprouts, Peas, and Cauliflower.

W. What makes you run late:  Colton is unlucky and seems to have lots of problems as we are heading out the door i.e. last Sunday, we were getting ready for church and Colton cut his lip shaving. Don't tell him but I think he did it on purpose to try and get out of it ha ha ha. Nice try!

How you found out about Blogger and why you made one.

I've known about Blogger for quite awhile,

So I can't pinpoint who I learned about it from.

However, I got interested in Blogger because my 

friend Chloe is a big time blogger.
